After a few first inning jitters, the game really got rolling in the fourth inning, Cupertino started to pull away with a flurry of activity, including a double by Phillip Long. Coming to Mountain View’s defense was Wesley Kenyon who slowed down Cupertino’s efforts by making an amazing leaping grab at deep short, then doubling up the runner at first base. After five and a half innings played, Mountain View had the lead 13-10. But Cupertino was not done crossing the plate and in the bottom of the sixth inning, they put together their own four-run rally, helped by triples from Jon Ringer and Fareed Ahmed, a double by Kevin Gong, a single by Henry Lay and a walk-off roller to third base by Phillip Long, scoring Jon Ringer for the 14-13 Cupertino win.
